SENATE PAGE
AND INTERN PROGRAMS
Senate Page Program
The Senate Page Program is for Oklahoma high school students (11th
through 12th grades) who are at least 16 years of age.
A page must be sponsored by a State Senator.
Each Senator has a limited number of page appointments for the legislative
session. An interested student should contact their State Senator
to express their interest in serving as page for the Oklahoma State
Senate. Each Senator’s office has its own criteria for selection.
Specific questions about the qualifications can be directed directly
to the executive assistant in the Senator’s office.
If you do not know who your Senator is, you
can look up this information on the Oklahoma State Senate website
www.oksenate.gov in the most popular topics section under the “Find
Your Senator” banner.

Senate Intern Program
The Senate Intern Program is for college and university students
whose career focus is toward public policy, political science, journalism/public
relations or related fields. There are a limited number of internship
positions available. Spring semester internships positions are available
in the Senate Service Staff and Communications Divisions during
the legislative session which lasts from February through May. During
the fall and summer semester, internships are offered by the Communications
division.
Senate internships are unpaid positions and
the internship must be used for college credit. Internship announcements
and applications are available prior to semester enrollment. There
is a selection process which includes an interview, and for certain
divisions, a written exam is required.
