Hobson Appoints Ardmore Woman to OSSM Board of Directors

President Pro Tempore Cal
Hobson has announced the appointment of Donna K. Windel
of Ardmore to the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma
School of Science and Mathematics.
Windel is the director of granting for the Samuel Roberts
Noble Foundation, a $900 million private foundation located
in Ardmore, where she lives with her husband Lynn. Before
joining the Noble Foundation she operated a private certified
public accountancy firm in Ardmore. She previously worked
as an accounting instructor at Southeastern Oklahoma State
University in Durant and as a mathematics instructor at
Morris College in South Carolina.
She is a graduate of Capitol Hill High School and earned
a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University
of Oklahoma in 1967.
“Mrs.
Windel’s education and professional experience as
a mathematics educator and the commitment to education she
has exhibited throughout her professional career will make
her a tremendous board member and asset for the Oklahoma
School of Science and Mathematics,” said Hobson, D-Lexington.
Windel is frequently invited to speak to non-profit groups
in connection with granting and accounting.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma
Society of CPA's, the State Review Committee for the Institute
for Organizational Excellence, the Legislative and Program
Committees of the Conference of Southwest Foundations, and
the OSCPA Not-for-Profit Conference Committee.
